The Unusualist at your Christmas party
The Unusualist is a bit different, as the name suggests. He's spent years studying the conjurors and eccentrics of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, and he owns a serious collection of rare antique books on them. His act carries that old-world elegance, then catches you out with fast, witty humour.
There's something very Christmassy about that feel. Candles, a good dinner and a gentleman with a collection of curious puzzles. It suits a refined Christmas party in a historic venue or a private members' club far better than a cheesy show would.
He's been performing his magical puzzles around the world for almost twenty years, for international royalty and for businesses such as Lloyds, Xerox, Standard Life and Cunard. He's had his own special on The Discovery Channel and has appeared on BBC1, ITV and Channel 4. The Magic Circle has awarded him its Silver Star for the quality of his performance, and he's also a member of Hollywood's Academy of Magical Arts.
His one-man show, Origins of Wonder, sold out at The Ned in London. He can perform for small groups or the whole room.
